Vietnam Environment Award is an award from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment awarded to organizations, individuals and communities with outstanding achievements in the cause of environmental protection. During this donation review, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment received 230 registration dossiers to participate from 166 organizations; 63 individuals and 01 community.
In addition to the Vietnam Environment Award, awarded once every 2 years since 2010, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment also organizes the "Natural Resources and Environment Press Award" to honor successful journalists. excellent performance, always ready and companion in information and propaganda activities to raise awareness of the community, contributing to the cause of environmental protection, sustainable socio-economic development.
With the Vietnam Environment Award, the Organizing Committee awarded 34 organizations, communities, and individuals with outstanding achievements in environmental protection in three areas: Environmental management, rational use natural resources, biodiversity conservation and biosafety; education, training and communication on environmental protection; pollution prevention and treatment and environmental improvement. In particular, Cat Tien National Park (Dong Nai) was awarded the Vietnam Environment Award, recognized for its efforts to protect and rational use of natural resources, biodiversity conservation and biosafety. .
After 5 times of organizing, up to now, the Award has attracted the participation of many organizations and individuals who are managers, scientists, people from all walks of life, creating a greater spread, proposed many innovative management models as well as innovative solutions in science and technology; increase information and communication on contents and policies on environmental protection and response to climate change. The Vietnam Environment Award is considered the most noble environmental award to honor organizations, individuals and communities that have made great contributions to the cause of environmental protection.
