The Government has just issued Decree 94/2021/ND-CP dated October 28, 2021 amending and supplementing Article 14 of Decree No. 168/2017/ND-CP dated December 31, 2017. Accordingly, reducing the deposit of travel service business by 80% until the end of December 31, 2023.

The deposit level for new travel service business according to Decree 94/2021/ND-CP is as follows:
1. Deposit level for domestic travel service business: 20 million VND (the old level was 100 million VND).
2. Margin level for international travel service business:
a) Business travel services for international tourists to Vietnam: VND 50 million (the old level was VND 250 million);
b) Providing travel services for outbound tourists: VND 100 million (the old level was VND 500 million);
c) Business travel services for international tourists to Vietnam and tourists going abroad: 100 million VND (the old level was 500 million VND)

Decree 94/2021/ND-CP takes effect from the date of signing (October 28, 2021). The deposit level for travel service business as prescribed in Article 1 of this Decree shall be implemented until the end of December 31, 2023. From January 1, 2024, the tour operator must exchange the certificate of deposit for the travel service business according to the deposit level specified in Clauses 1 and 2, Article 14 of Decree No. 168. /2017/ND-CP and send it to the agency competent to issue the travel service business license within 30 days from the date of change.

It is known that reducing the deposit for travel service business is a support measure to help reduce difficulties for businesses affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, creating favorable conditions for travel businesses that are still operating as well. as new businesses wanting to enter the travel industry.
