In the context of flexibly and safely adapting to the Covid-19 epidemic, recently Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) and Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period of 2021 - 2025, under the form online mode.

Over the years, Dong Nai province has affirmed its important position in the "Southeast economic quadrangle", and is also the gateway to the most dynamic southern key economic region in the country. In January 2021, the province started construction of phase 1 of the Long Thanh airport project and is expected to inaugurate in 2025. With a maximum capacity of up to 100 million passengers/year, this will be the largest airport Vietnam in the future.

Specifically, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Vietnam Airlines and Dong Nai province will carry out activities aimed at developing the province's economy and tourism and restoring the operation of Vietnam Airlines. This is considered a long-term measure and strategy to create a new impetus for the tourism industry, promoting its advantages and potential to serve the requirements of integration and development of Dong Nai province.
Vietnam Airlines and Dong Nai province have set out a plan to develop domestic and international flight routes directly connecting Long Thanh airport with domestic localities and potential foreign markets after the epidemic is controlled.

National Airlines also cooperated with Dong Nai to research solutions to stimulate tourism demand such as forming tourist products and routes; promoting tourism products through media, trade promotion events, domestic and foreign tourism.
In addition, Vietnam Airlines will cooperate with the province to organize, participate in and support national and international events in the fields of education, culture, sports, investment and trade.
