Vietnam Tourism has won many categories of Asia Regional Awards 2020 voted by the World Travel Awards. The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to recognize, reward and honor excellence in all key areas of the tourism, travel and hospitality industries. Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.
Accordingly, Vietnam is honored to be voted as Asia's Top Heritage Destination, Asia's Top Cultural Destination and Asia's Top Culinary Destination.

This is the second time in a row that Vietnam has won awards in the categories of cultural, heritage and culinary destinations. In the accommodation category, Vietnam's InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort received three titles "Asia's Leading Luxury Resort", "Asia's Leading Green Resort" and "Romantic Resort. leading in Asia ”; InterContinental Resort in Bai Dai, Phu Quoc received the title "Asia's Leading Luxury Family Resort".

In the aviation sector, World Travel Awards said that the unprecedented upgrade of the fleet has helped the national airline Vietnam Airlines receive the titles of 'Asia's Leading Airline - Economy Class'; "Asia's Leading Airline - Premium Economy Class" and "Asia's Leading Cultural Carrier". Bamboo Airways was honored to receive the title of "Asia's Leading Regional Airline".
In addition, many resorts and hotels in Vietnam were also honored at this award, typically Sun World Fansipan Legend, operated by Sun Group, once again won the category "Tourist destination. the most attractive calendar in Vietnam ".

Achieving prestigious tourism awards in the context of the complicated Covid19 epidemic has partly confirmed the position and capacity of the Vietnamese tourism industry. The awards are also the highest honor for all local residents, local authorities, and travel and tourism businesses who have been trying to overcome the consequences of epidemics, natural disasters and towards new achievements in the future.
