Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 46 trillion VND, up 31% over the same period in 2022, equivalent to 81% over the same period in 2019. For the Lunar New Year holiday alone, it is estimated that the whole country has about 9 million domestic tourists go to spring.

Currently, the number of international visitors to Vietnam mainly comes from Korea, the US, Japan, and countries in Southeast Asia, in which Asia accounts for a large proportion, especially the increase in visitors from Vietnam. The emerging markets are India, Cambodia.
Along with that, Vietnam has actively promoted tourism and especially aimed at the intra-ASEAN market. According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, ASEAN is one of the most important markets and partners of Vietnam's tourism. In 2019, visitors from ASEAN to Vietnam reached nearly 2.1 million. Particularly in 2022, Vietnam has welcomed about 3.5 million international tourists, including 920,000 visitors from ASEAN, the number of visitors from ASEAN has recovered about 45% compared to before the pandemic.

In 2023, Vietnam tourism hopes to soon welcome ASEAN delegations to attend major tourism events in Vietnam in 2023, such as VITM International Travel Fair in Hanoi and ITE-HCMC in Hanoi. City.
