Recently, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet signed and promulgated Document No. 4122/HD-BVHTTDL on temporary guidance on piloting international tourists to Vietnam.

The guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set out a pilot route to welcome international tourists to Vietnam including 3 phases: Phase 1 (from November 2021): Pilot welcoming international tourists according to package tour programs, in selected areas and tourist service establishments in Ho Chi Minh City. Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ninh (List of areas and service providers that are welcome to welcome international tourists selected and publicly announced by localities) ; Phase 2 (from January 2022): Expanding the scope to welcome international tourists, connecting destinations through regular charter flights and international trade; Phase 3: Fully reopening to the international tourist market. The starting time of phase 3 will be based on the actual epidemic situation and on the evaluation of the results of welcoming international tourists in the first two phases.

International tourists from the following markets: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, the Middle East, India, Australia... -Apply for Covid-19 prevention recognized by competent authorities in Vietnam; Have negative results for SARS-CoV-2 test within 72 hours before boarding; Have medical insurance or travel insurance that covers Covid-19 treatment with a minimum liability of $50,000; Join a tour package of a travel agency.

This guide will be updated and adjusted according to policies and regulations on entry and exit procedures, on prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and other regulations of ministries and branches according to actual implementation through different policies and procedures. specific phase. During the implementation process, if any problems arise, agencies and units shall send reports to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VNAT) for timely amendment, supplementation and completion.
