Approving the Strategy for Cultural Development to 2030

The objective of the Strategy is to build and develop a comprehensive Vietnamese culture and people, in line with the trends of the times, the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the great impacts on the economy. society and people of natural disasters, epidemics, crises...

The strategy aims to build a healthy cultural environment in all areas of social life. Constantly improving the people's spiritual life, gradually narrowing the gap in cultural enjoyment between urban and rural areas, regions, policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people; focus on cultural development in ethnic minority areas.
By 2030, the Strategy strives for 100% of provincial-level administrative units to have all three types of cultural institutions, including: Cultural Centers or Cultural-Arts Centers, museums, libraries; 100% of district and commune administrative units have Culture and Sports Centers.

The strategy is to strive for at least 95% of special national relics and about 70% of national relics to be restored and embellished; there are at least 5 heritage sites listed by UNESCO under the UNESCO convention. Ensure that at least 75% of people in remote, border and island areas, and 80% of communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas enjoy and participate in cultural activities, listen to, and watch national and local radio and television channels.

To achieve the above goal, the Strategy sets out 11 tasks and solutions such as: raising awareness, promoting communication on cultural development; perfecting institutions, policies and legal frameworks; building Vietnamese people to develop comprehensively; building a healthy cultural environment to create a driving force for economic and social development and international integration; improve the quality and efficiency of cultural activities; protect and promote national cultural heritage; perfect the market mechanism in the field of culture, give priority to the development of a number of cultural industries.
In addition, the Strategy also mentions creating breakthroughs in human resource development in the fields of culture and art; promote scientific research, technology and digital transformation in the field of culture.
