Tri An lake area currently has 76 large and small islands with an area of 0.1ha or more each. Of these, only a few islands are inhabited. Most of the above islands have an area of 0.1-4ha, some islands have an area larger than 10ha. Up to now, only 5 islands have developed tourism, including O island, Dong Truong island, Cao Minh island, Nam Bau island, and Truong Dang island. In which, O island, Dong Truong island and Cao Minh island are invested quite methodically, attracting many tourists to visit. If you want to get to the above islands, you have to travel by canoe, boat or boat from 10-30 minutes. The islands on Tri An Lake have a total area of over 100ha, when the lake water level reaches 62m, when the lake water recedes below 60m, the island area increases quite a bit. The islands are mainly located in Ma Da and Phu Ly communes (Vinh Cuu district) and La Nga, Thanh Son and Tuc Trung communes (Dinh Quan district).
