Vietnam won many ASEAN Tourism Awards in 2023

According to the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Jakarta, on February 5, at the end of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2023 in Yogyakarta City, the Organizing Committee of ATF 2023 awarded the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2023, including: Homestay Award 4th ASEAN; The 3rd ASEAN Community Tourism Award; The 2nd ASEAN Public Toilet Award and the 2nd ASEAN Spa Service Award. Vietnamese units have won many awards in many categories of ATF 2023.

Two units include Homestay cluster in An Binh commune, Vinh Long province (gathering 6 affiliate homestay units including: Ut Thuy, Sau Thanh, Nam Thanh, Ba Linh, Ngoc Phuong and Ngoc Sang); Homestay cluster in Nghia Do commune, Lao Cai province (gathering 5 affiliate homestay units including: Homestay number 01 - Hon village, Homestay number 02 - Muong Kem village, Homestay number 04 - Hon village, Homestay number 05 - Na Khuong village and Homestay No. 06 - Tham Ma village) won the ASEAN Homestay Award.

In the ASEAN Community Tourism Award category, four Vietnamese units won the prize, including: Quan Ba Community Tourism Service Cooperative, Ha Giang province; Sin Suoi Ho community tourist site, Lai Chau province; Tourism community of Tan Thanh fishing village, Quang Nam province and Thai Hai eco-ethnic stilt village conservation area, Thai Nguyen province.

The ASEAN Public Toilet Award was awarded to 3 units including: Public toilet at Saigon Skydeck Observation Deck of Bitexco Financial Tower - HCMC; Public toilets at Southern Women's Museum - Ho Chi Minh City and Public toilets at Ben Xua Tourist Area - Ho Chi Minh City.

Finally, in the ASEAN Spa Service Award category, 5 winners include: Cham Spa & Massage - Da Nang City; Facility Sen Tai Thu Vincom Mega Mall Smart City - Hanoi; Sol Spa (Minera Resort Hotel) - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province; Chi Spa (Silk Path Grand Resort & Spa Sapa) - Lao Cai province; Thala Spa (Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc Hotel) - Kien Giang province.

The ASEAN Tourism Awards is an annual event to honor localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of tourism destinations in the ASEAN region. This is also an opportunity for tourism businesses as well as local tourism organizations to effectively market their tourism business activities and contribute to promoting the national tourism brand.

ATF 2023 will be held from February 2 to 5, 2023 in the Indonesian "cultural city" Yogyakarta. With the theme "ASEAN: A Journey to Great Destinations", ATF 2023 is the largest annual event held alternately among the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), creating a space for cooperation. to promote the region as an attractive global tourist destination.

ATF 2023 includes many activities such as: the 26th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 22nd ASEAN+3 Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 10th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 10th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting, and more. 2nd ASEAN-Russia Tourism Minister, 57th ASEAN National Tourism Agency Meeting, 42nd ASEAN+3 National Tourism Agency Conference, ASEAN + India National Tourism Agency Conference 29th ASEAN-Russia Tourism Consultation Meeting.
